Pictured above: (1) Petroglyphs in a hidden canyon depict many things including a deer. (2) A short distance from the petroglyphs, my daughter spots a herd of 12 deer on the slope. (3) Four of the deer show no fear, as they wander closer to my children.
Be Strong, Fear Not!
The woman herself fled into the desert where she had a place prepared by God, that there she might be taken care of for twelve hundered and sixty days.
-- Revelation 12:6
The desert and the parched land will exult; the steppe will rejoice and bloom. They will bloom with abundant flowers, and rejoice with joyful song. They will see the glory of the Lord, the splendor of our God. Strengthen the hands that are feeble, make firm the knees of the weak. Say to those whose hearts are frightened: Be strong, fear not! Here is your God, he comes with vindication. With divine recompense he comes to save you. Then will the eyes of the blind be opened, the ears of the deaf be cleared. Then will the lame leap like a deer, then the tongue of the dumb will sing.
-- Isaiah 35: 1-9
Desert Photo Gallery 09.13.13. Some folks may see the desert as a barren and inhospitable wasteland. Here's some photos I took on Good Friday of 2013 that paints a different picture. Enjoy!
